Susan Sterle: Temple, Texas, United States; Susan Sterle is the owner of Sterle Fine Art Studio in Temple, Texas. Susan has a Bachelor’s of Fine Art from the University of Texas in Austin and has been in the graphic design, print, and web industry for over 30 years. Although she has been designing print and digital media for many years she has also never truly stopped painting since the fifth grade. In the past five years, painting, photography and art instruction has emerged as the passion of her life. The subject of her paintings varies from people, dog portraits and animals to plein air painting. In fact, she paints a very wide scope of subjects and feels this is necessary in order to grow as an artist. Her style can be defined as impressionistic in varying degrees. Art is the visual expression and communication to the viewer of the thoughts, feelings, and opinions of life and not just a rendering of what one sees.
